Silent Listener

Have you ever stopped to observe the wait?
Two guys on their first date will always get ahead of time. He will sit pretending nonchalance and kill the nerves playing with the phone. She is already watching him with a beating heart and an incomprehensible smile.
A week later He won't sit to be ready to meet her while She will come just in time, only to be desired.
The seasons pass and the bench has not heard of them: sometimes it see them coming in perfect synchrony, they embrace in front of its eyes and greet it with a kiss on their lips... so little by little it hardly saw them.
It feels like a post-it left on the showcase, under the eyes of all and view by anyone; as a stupid gossip magazine which sneaks without discretion in the lives of strangers.
Its job is to keep company with the wait, it's aware, however there are stories which leave signs, visible signs on it.
The bench sees some of them after some times.
Some got a few puonds and wore gray hairs, but haven't abandoned their young smile and their fingers twisted with each other.
Other go back alone, they sit where they used to do and take care to leave the place near them free, hoping that the long hair deals with that place.
They wait for hours, days, years without her trace. Obviously they get up and  run through their regular life but they always come back there to wait.
In reality the bench cross the long hair in that park. It always see her from a distance. She's close to the swing playing with her children.
She's happy and often smile, but never wants to go in front of the bench.
( Pleeease sorry for my bad english! :) )
